Clothing Care: A Guide from SADORI
Tips on caring for suits, shirts, and knitwear to extend their lifespan.
How to Properly Care for Your Clothes
Quality clothing is an investment. Proper care will extend the life of your garments and preserve their original appearance. Here are proven tips from SADORI.
Suits
Never machine wash a suit — dry clean only. After wearing, hang on a proper hanger and let it rest for at least 24 hours. Use a brush to remove dust. Store in a garment bag in a dry place.
Shirts
Wash at temperatures no higher than 40°C. Iron while slightly damp for better results. Cotton shirts can be starched for a crisper look. Unbutton all buttons before washing.
Knitwear
Hand wash or use delicate cycle at 30°C for cashmere and wool. Don't wring — let water drain naturally. Dry flat to avoid stretching. Store folded, not on hangers.
Jeans
Wash as infrequently as possible — every 5-6 wears. Wash at 30°C turned inside out. Don't use bleach. Air dry away from direct sunlight.
Leather Goods
Regularly treat with leather cream. Store in a ventilated area, not in plastic. If wet, dry at room temperature away from heat sources.
